linguistic approach to translation

From a linguistic point of view, translation has been considered above all a formal problem, limited essentially to the structure of languages. The goal from this perspective is to find the correspondences between languages and solve differences. In this context the main problem is to understand what is a good translation by analyzing the questions connected to fidelity and correctness.
