altering translation - anxious about language

Hmm. It’s a little sketchy when you reply to yourself. I had a longer drive today and my mind came back to this issue. I'm also feeling anxious about my language (above). :) I hear you to be saying that typically, academic language kills the very thing it seeks to understand. When we seek to know something, the Western tradition of "knowing" tends to kill the very thing we seek to discover. But you seem hopeful that this does not have to be the case. Am I tracking now? I think your next step is to suggest some ways this might be done.
