This website has option of both traditional and simplified Chinese character of Biblical Literature resources in Greek and Hebrew(in progress) along with different versions of the Scripture in different langauges. I would appreciate, if you can share other similar Chinese resources about source language text.

Hi Jeremiah, I don't know Chinese, but I wanted to ask you - what kind of resources exist for Hebrew or Greek lexicons? Or any kind of theological dictionary in Chinese? I am curious because I will be presenting a paper on developing lexical resources of Biblical languages for the use of Bible translators .

Hi, I wish I know the question of your answer. I am working on with GitHub to have GOSP4EL (Global(Chinese) Open Source Projects for Evangelical Laities), one of these projects is annotated bibliography of Chinese resources for BT. I fear that most of the Chinese resources with Biblical languages are translated from English and with very strong influence from American evangelical. Hard copy of NT Greek interlinearized Greek, English, Chinese were done in 1980s, The whole old testament of Hebrew-English-Chinese interlinearized version published much late, I think 10+ years later. Machen's Greek text book translated by James Taylor in Taiwan before 1980s. There is also Weingreen's Hebrew Chinese text book before 1980. When I was in Theological College in Hong Kong mid 1980s, I think most of the Bible Institutes are using English text book for Biblical Greek and Hebrew. Even the text book can be translated into Chinese, without basis syntax knowledge of English or other inflective language, e.g. tense, plural, declension, inflection, mood, case, Greek and Hebrew study in Chinese it can be very challenging. In last 10 years?? Randall Buth's Hebrew teaching methodology was introduced into Mandarin speaking world.

Thank you Jeremiah. I will be presenting my paper at BT 2015 shortly, calling for a more concerted effort in developing lexical resources for Biblical languages especially in languages of wider communication. It sounds like there is a lot of work to do for Chinese! It would definitely be ideal to describe Hebrew terms in Chinese without going through the filter of English!
