I had some fun charting out English Bible translations and their relationships to one another, from Wycliffe to present day. My primary guide was Bruce Metzger's The Bible in Translation: Ancient and English Versions. The chart is attached, but if the resolution is too low, you can also view it on my blog with an accompanying post:

UPDATE: I have improved the chart in a number of ways. I've replaced the attachment, and you can also view it with a list of changes here:

The New Century Version and International Children's Bible are both re-sellings of the Easy-to-Read Version (not listed) by a different publisher. The ERV itself is a revision of the English Version for the Deaf (both late 1970's). To my knowledge, this family of English translations is the first in English to make gender neutral choices. The translation philosophy of these translations is not like those of NIV or NAS. The groupings here don't all make sense to me.
Thanks for pointing this out. I appear to have the original publication date for the NCV wrong. The NCV isn't being grouped here with the NIV or NAS. The relationships are only represented by arrows, and there are none linking NCV to the NIV or NAS. Perhaps I need to expand the chart a little bit so they don't appear to be related. It's a work in progress!
I've replaced the chart with an updated version. You can also see it here with a list of changes: https://findingrightwords.wordpress.com/2016/05/26/english-bible-chart-2-0/
