Key Performance Indicators for BT projects and BT organizations
I think some standard and practice of the cutting edge industry/technology may help us to reflect and improve the methodology for Bible translation projects and BTO as entrepreneurs. I think some of the KPI can help us to develop sustainable projects and strategy of distributing our resources in the most cost-effective ways. With the focus of these KPI, we may develop a better contextualized process, practices and procedures. I think it may also help to produce a better translation brief. Donors and supporters may make better choice of which BTO or BT projects to "invest" for the Kingdom, if BTO and BT project can be more transparent with KPI or similar index, especially audited by third party, general public and end users. One of my concern is that volunteers efforts, e.g. prayer support and manual labor usually not being counted in the general audit system. KPI may not be communicated as easily and effective as touching stories, slogans or religious claims. If everyone will be ultimately accountable, both leadership and practitioners of BTO need to be humbly examine ourselves whether we use the name of BT in vain. BT practitioners and BTO leadership need to pay attention not just at KPI of their projects but key indicator of our own spiritual quality according to the Book that we have been translating.

While I get a bit queasy at the thought of applying cost analysis to Bible translation efforts, I have often thought that project management skills are an area of professional development that is largely ignored in BT project staff training. Thanks for sharing this link, Jeremiah; lots of food for thought (and practice) in there.
