THE GENE
The Gene is an intellectual tour de force. One of the best books on the implications of human hereditary transmission. It is a science book while a the same time a literary feat. The implications for language and any human behaviour are profound. Siddhartha has his own way of tackling the issues , not fearing to show intertwine his own life history. The old nurture vs nature debate but now in systematic historic perspective on the rise and dominance of genetics. From a Christian worldview perspective the topics that are brought forth are worth pondering. Do yourself a favour do read this book.
