Access to the archive of the Journal of Biblical Literature

Bible translators working in less economically prosperous parts of the world who are interested in free access to top-tier biblical scholarship will be interested to know that the Society of Biblical Literature provides for free access to the archive of the Journal of Biblical Literature (JBL). The archive seems to apply an embargo of 5 years, so the most recent issue currently available is the Spring issue of 2011.

• The JBL archive may be found here: JBL Archive.
• The list of qualifying countries may be found here: ICI Countries. The website detects the country from which your computer is accessing it and provides or blocks access accordingly.
