Hi everyone,

For some reason it never occurred to me to mention it until now! I have set up a wiki at www.biblestockmedia.com. This site hosts media useful to anyone creating Scripture-based media products. Amongst other things, it includes a large selection of video clips in HD taken in Israel and also Ephesus. To register, simply visit the site and click on 'request access'. I will then give you read access. If you have anything of good quality to contribute, please also register and I will give you write access. Email or comment on this post to indicate what kind of interest you have. Please be aware that anything you contribute may be used in any media product without any attribution or acknowledgement. Here is the introductory text that is also available on the site: (some of this is obvious to MAP users)

"Welcome!

Let us give you a short guide to this wiki. What is a wiki? It is a private piece of webspace open to a group of people who wish to collaborate. You will have been given access appropriate to your needs. Most of you will be either readers or writers. A reader may look at any page and make use of the information. A writer may edit pages and add information. Don't worry if you make a change you don't want, as the wiki keeps backups.

What is this wiki for?

Imagine you want to cook a delicious meal for guests. You will probably not simply go to the supermarket and grab a ready-cooked meal. However, you would probably not grow all the ingredients yourself! So you need a place to go for ingredients which you can combine into a tasty meal. Now think about the way you want to bring Scripture media to a language group. You may want to grab a ready-cooked meal such as the Jesus Film, add some voices in the local language, and serve it up. It will provide spiritual nourishment and you don't need to do anything creative. On the other extreme you could make your own film from scratch, hiring actors and shooting all the footage yourself.

Inbetween, this is where this wiki comes in. Let's say you have translated some Psalms and you want some beautiful backgrounds that you can use copyright free. This would be your oasis. Or maybe you've had some of Paul's writings translated and you would like some scenes of Ephesus. You could get them here. Or let's say you are wondering whether it's worth lugging that tripod and expensive camera on your next trip somewhere interesting. If your footage could be used anywhere on the planet by someone wanting to bless the nations, then maybe you would consider it.

For instructions on how to upload and list your video, please see the sidebar which is normally on the bottom right section of your screen."
