This year the Eep Talstra Centre will celebrate its fortieth anniversary. It was in 1977 that Eep Talstra and his colleagues founded the Werkgroep Informatica, now the ETCBC, and began to use computers to analyze the Hebrew Bible. The work which started then continues today and into the future.

The ETCBC would like to invite you to its special anniversary celebration: ETCBC≥40. The celebration will take place on 31 October with a special meeting to follow on 1 November. The 31 October meeting will feature presentations by Eep and others on the past four decades of "Bible and Computer", current projects, and future directions in Biblical Studies and Digital Humanities. A reception will follow the event. The 1 November meeting will feature special presentations on Bible Translation and Digital Humanities and syntactic variation in Biblical Hebrew.

Please refer to the attached flyer for the meeting locations and times. A detailed program description will follow later.

The event is free but registration is required. Please register at https://goo.gl/forms/V9RrlHKyimPm1LEr1

We look forward to celebrating with you!

Sincerely, on behalf of Wido van Peursen and the ETCBC,_
