Our SIL Language Technology Training department has been working on Paratext videos for a long time. Our process is to write learning objectives, then write a script for the video module. When the team has critiqued it, we produce the video in Camtasia. Further critiques result in revisions to the video. For speakers of English as a second language, we have provided English subtitles that may be turned on or off in Vimeo. For a number of the videos we have subtitles in French also, but our goal is to reproduce the videos in different languages when we get funding for this.

Our team's goal is to continually update the videos as the software is updated, so we save all the source files for each. This also makes it easier to produce the videos in different languages. The video script can be translated, and then we can remake the video with the interface switched into a different language, getting a fluent speaker to do the voice-over. We are also using these videos in an online course that we are currently preparing. The idea is that users can be certified in their knowledge of Paratext by watching the videos and answering questions to show they've understood.
