Latest official statistics are posted at wycliffe.net/statistics and beginning to be quoted on a number of sites. Please make use of the FAQ sheet to dig deeper into some of the complexity.

Each year the release of the latest data also sparks some personal blogs and comments about the significance of the statistics You can read mine from this and previous years at https://brassingtons.wordpress.com/category/statistics-2/

After over 20 years of following  and presenting the data (and several of being involved in compiling it) I'm excited at the progress being made but here's one comment from 2015 on the idea of when translation will be finished.

There will be no more need for translation when languages stop changing, when each generation is the same as the last, when every one has all they need. Not ‘Christ won’t return until translation is done’ but ‘translation work won’t be done until Christ returns’
