Robert Alter's The Art of Bible Translation

So... Alter has been a hot topic this last weeks because of his translation of the Bible. As a follow up to his work on translating the Hebrew Bible, a task he completed by himself(he affirm he is the first person to do that, we know it is not true),  his new book: "The Art of Bible Translation", will be available on March 19th . Here is the first chapter: The Art Of Bible Translation, and I want to read your opinion to some of his comments. Personally, I think he is a little bit unsparring when he talks about Bible translators in general... but... let's talk when you read this.
