Invitation for Hebrew collaboration
Back in January my wife and I began a free Communicative Biblical Hebrew channel on YouTube to help get intuitive training into the hands of Bible translators (mainly nationals and oral learners who have few opportunities to travel and study). The videos are presented in a monolingual format so that it's accessible to anyone from any language context.
We're wondering who would be willing to use some of their time while in lockdown to record and post lectures explaining the Hebrew grammar and vocabulary concepts presented in our videos to help people who need a little extra help from explicit instruction. While we are planning to do this in English and Spanish, we would like people who are fluent in other languages to help: Mandarin, Russian, Arabic, French, Hindi, etc. Even if it's a minority language that you speak, go for it! We'd also like to accumulate free resources in these other languages that can help students of Hebrew.
So if you believe this is a strategic initiative and want to help, please contact us. And you don't need our permission to start! In the descriptions of each video on our channel, there are links to written outlines and scripts to help expand on the teaching. Basically, it would be up to you to do when you have time and post to your own channel. We're not worried about the quality or equipment you use; just so long as your instruction is clear and understandable. Then we can start linking our videos over to yours for speakers of that language. And if you can't do this but know someone who might, please help us spread the invitation!
