Post Bible Translation Careers or Vocations
The original heading is "Post Bible Translation Careers). I added "or Vocations"
For the difference between Career and Vacation:

For me, I think Bible Translation is one of my vocations. Some of us are called to have more than one vocation. Some can shift from one vocation to another vocation. Some may shift the focus and the allocations of time/resources in different vocations. Some may call to fulfill personal needs or family need as the calling, in such cases career is a vocation.
What could be the correlation between the perspective of vocation/career and the choices(if there can be) of candidates in the field of BT practitioners? Is Bible Translation a ministry, otherwise what else?
How long are we called to spend most of our time doing different things? (added July 16, 2021)

I am thinking of doing a research/presentation about the pathway, career, and post-career of Bible Translation. I would appreciate it if you can point me to the resources/research about these topics. I have the following questions in mind:
How many BT practitioners now and the correlation with the BT productivity and different times in history? How well Pareto principle(20/80 rule) aligns with your observation?
What did you observe about the post-career path and pattern of the ex-colleagues of different roles(e.g. Mother tongue colleagues, consultants, local vs foreigner) in BT community of different cultural, political-social-economic context in different regions/continents/NGOs?
What would you consider a second career, besides the Bible Translation practitioners? What are the essential skill sets or training need to fill the gap of the transition?
In what ways and knowledge/skills/attitude do you see ex-Bible translation practitioners can contribute according to the Biblical mandate and core value?
Why do BT practitioners leave the career of Bible Translation? Why would they in the future?
