Free Book with Striking Implications for the BT World
I suppose some (or many) may strongly disagree with this book, but it has some significant arguments that have striking implications for publishing bibles, translation helps, and biblical resources in general. The book is free in just about every format you can imagine (including audio), and the author has published it as Public Domain. He will even send you a physical copy for free; all you have to do is order it! Check it out here.
The Dorean Principle offers a fresh look at the Bible’s guidance on ministry fundraising and exposes common practices that run afoul of its instruction. Conley Owens presents a robust synthesis of Jesus and the apostle Paul’s theology, concluding that “ministry should be supported, not sold.” Drawing from his experience as both a pastor and an engineer, he provides practical solutions to the challenges that lie at the intersection of money and ministry.
Conley Owens (MDiv, The Log College & Seminary) is a pastor and a senior software engineer at Google. He lives with his wife and seven children in Sunnyvale, California.
