A question about Bible translation and contextuality

In my present research I look at what impact a new translation into a language has when it comes to the ability for the church in that area to have its own theological voice. With other words, how does a Bible translation make it easier to contextualize the gospel into a specific cultural setting.

I would appreciate any ideas about articles or books that deal with this question.
