Retranslating the Bible and the Qur'an (UBS co-publication)

Edited by Dr Marijke de Lang (UBS) together with colleagues at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium), this new book presents papers from a conference jointly organised by UBS and the Catholic University. The papers address various aspects of retranslation (revisions and new translations) of both the Bible and the Qur'an, and include three by UBS GTAs, one by a colleague from IBT (Russia) and others by Christian and Muslim academics.

We trust that this collaboration will have advanced our understanding of how retranslations of sacred texts are received as well as strengthening connections between Bible translation practitioners and both secular and Muslim academics.
