A Deepening Spiral

A Deepening Spiral

Marilyn Valverde shared with the Spanish Multimodal Bible Translation Community of Practice at the July session. She shared on the topic of “Internalization, Emotional Exegesis and Performance: A Deepening Spiral”. This topic was originally shared in English by Heather Beal at the English Community of Practice last year. Marilyn added her experience as a translation consultant working both with oral and written translations in Latin America to the presentation. She brought out the importance of including these three interacting topics, Internalization, Emotion Exegesis and Performance, into all translation projects. The interaction of the three enriches the process of translation as well as the resulting quality of the translation.
